Stormproof represents the state of the art in vehicle cover fabrics in 2005. After years of research and testin, Coverking found a leading textile mills in Japan which was capable of producing the ultra-micro fiber cloth, but woven in a very unconventional method to produce extreme water resistance, snow/ice resistance while maintaining very high levels of breathability, WHITHOUT TREATMENT OR COATINGS! Other fabrics available on the market are the result of marketing hype, with no real engineering-the materials are initially very water resistance. Unfortunatelly, consumers who have spent great deal of money on these covers soon find that after a year of use, the cover degrades, the water resistant properties have vanished, and the color has faded.

 Mosom Plus Custom Car Cover From $129.68
Mosom PLUS/Coverbond5 is a five layer material. The outer two layers are Spunbond Polypropylene, the middle layer is a special micro-porus film and the inside layer is super-soft fabric. The middle layer is an excellent rain barrier, while allowing for vapors to pass through. The special cotton flock inner layer pampers the most delicate paint finish. It is a great choice for all-around car cover use, suggested for most conditions except extreme sun, snow or ice. Mosom PLUS is a non-woven material, so in the unlikely event a rip occurs in the materlial, it will not run.

 Silverguard Plus Custom Car Cover From $127.31
Silverguard PLUS is a 300 Denier polyester material with a reflective, water resistant coating on the outer layer and a soft, non-abrasive layer on the inside. It is a great choice for all-around car cover use, suggested for most conditions except extreme rain, snow or ice. 300 denier is a strong, heavy weave, which will not rip or tear easily. The silver coating on Silverguard Plus does an excellent job of reflecting sunlight, while keeping rain and animal droppings from damaging the vehicle finish. The special soft inner layer pampers the most delicate paint finish.

Coverbond-4 is similar to Triguard, but has an extra middle meltblown layer. This gives Coverbond-4 added strenght and bulk. The added layer improves water resistance while keeping breathability quite high. However, because of it's added bulk , Coverbond-4 is suggested for people who are comfortable with handling a heavier more bulky cover.The added thickness does provide some benefits it protects from minor door dings, small hail, and some damage from pets or children. Coverbond-4 is a great choice for vehicles exposed to light hail, children, pets, or other such hazards. It is not intended for prolonged extreme sun conditions or heavy snow. Coverbond-4 is gray in color.

 Silverguard Custom Car Cover From $87.62
Silverguars is a unique polyester drill fabric, coated with highly sun, heat and water resistant coating. Silverguard is also breathable, but less so compared to other Coverking fabrics. It is relatively compact ans easy to handle and fairly soft to the vehicle's finish. Silverguard is suggested for vehiclesparked in extreme sun conditons. The silver reflective coating blocks UV rays and is able to prevent degradation of the underlying poliester material. Silverguard is also a good choice for vehicles exposed to rain or snow, but only short periods of time. if your vehicle will be exposed to rain or snow for periods of 1 month or longer without removal of the cover of the cover, Silverguard is not suggested. As it's name implies, Silverguard has a metallic gray color.

 Triguard Custom Car Cover From $73.68
Triguard is a 3 layer material. Each of the layers is made from popropylene, a petroleum derivative. The outer and inner layers are made by a process called spunbond, which is tough and stands up to light weather. The middle layer is made by a process called meltblown, which is what gives the material it's water resistance and breathability. Triguard is a good cover for vehicles kept in mild climates or indoors. It is not intended for harsh rain or prolonged extreme sun conditions.
